About ARC (Academic Resource Center)
The Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers Supplemental Instruction for undergraduates at the University of Iowa. Supplemental Instruction (SI) is offered for a variety of courses. All of the sessions are free.
The ARC will remain closed for the Spring 2021 semester. We will offer Supplemental Instruction sessions using Zoom – an online platform for video & audio conferencing. Sessions begin on Sunday, January 31, 2021 and go through Friday, May 7, 2021. There will be no sessions during finals week. The full SI session schedule can be accessed from the ARC website or you can click here for a printable copy of the full Spring 2021 schedule. The Zoom links for each session can be found on each course's SI page within Tutor Iowa.
If you are experiencing any issues around accessibility of virtual SI sessions, please contact the ARC team at email@example.com.
What to Expect:
All students sign in before their SI session. We don't share your information with anyone. SI Sessions are led and facilitated by a SI Leader. When you are in your session, you will work with other students in the sessions through activities to help you better understand the material. You will also learn study strategies to help you in the course!
How to Prepare:
Bring your notes for the course and any other materials that you think will be helpful for you to have during an SI session.
