About Language Media Center (LMC)
The Language Media Center is an essential resource unit for faculty and students in the Division’s language courses. The LMC offers facilities for traditional language laboratory work as well as for foreign language video and computer-based activities.
The main Center facility, located in 120 Phillips Hall, has individual digital audio listening/recording carrels, multipurpose small group rooms, video viewing stations for individuals, and networked multimedia computer workstations. In the main part of the lab, there is a pull-down presentation screen and users can set up a computer with a projector for demonstrations.
Visit the LMC website at https://lmc.uiowa.edu/ for a full list of resources that are available. Note that the LMC does not offer tutoring services. However, tutors and students of languages and courses sponsored by the DWLLC are welcome to meet in the LMC.
