Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a free resource that helps you figure out how to be successful in your course. You’ll meet with a fellow student (the SI Leader) who has done well in the course/subject area. The SI Leader will facilitate activities to help you better understand the course material and how to study more effectively. You will compare notes with other students, get organized, and predict and prepare for test questions. The SI Leader attends all class lectures and takes notes, and is working with the professor, so you can be sure that they know what’s going on in your class. The sessions are informal, and you can attend as many sessions as you like.
SI sessions will be offered in-person in the Center for Supplemental Instruction (CSI) on the first floor of the Main Library for the Fall 2026 semester, except for the following courses, which are offered in the location noted below:

Please note that the CSI (previously the ARC) has relocated from its temporary space on the second floor of the Main Library to its new, permanent location on the first floor.
Sessions begin on Sunday, August 30, 2026, and go through Friday, December 11, 2026. There will be no sessions over Labor Day weekend (Sunday, September 6th & Monday, September 7th) during fall break (Sunday, November 22nd – Sunday, November 29th) or throughout finals week (Sunday, December 13th – Friday, December 18th).
